B+E TOWING A TRAILER

Boston LGV Training LTD is a company that is big enough to cope with all aspects of driver tuition, yet small enough to give all the care and support a trainee needs to get through a B+E test. We pride ourselves on professional tuition with excellent pass rates.

Our
instructors are experienced, fully qualified and come from professional driving backgrounds. All instructors have gone through very stringent driving tests and also a test on their instructional ability. Instructors are chosen for their skill, patience and friendliness.

Description

The course is broken up into 2.

People who have experience with a trailer, ie can reverse and couple and uncouple can do the 2 day course. This is 4 hours training on the 1st day, returning on the 2nd day for more training and test.

People with little to no experience would require the 3 day course. This is 4 hours training on the 1st and the 2nd day, returning on the 3rd day for training and test.

Description

All you need is a full UK driving licence and you are good to go! Give us a call and we assess if you require the 2 or 3 day course. If you have experience with a car / van trailer then the short course should be enough.

Description

Drivers seeking the B+E entitlement should be experienced and technically expert. At the beginning of the test you will be asked up to 5 vehicle related safety questions which will be a combination of “show me” and “tell me.” You will then do the set exercises which will include a “S” shaped reverse into a bay, afterwards you will be asked to uncouple and re-couple. The drive on the road will last about 50 minutes; the overall test takes about 90 minutes.
All examiners are trained to carry out the test to the same standard, they do not have pass or fail quotas. So as long as you demonstrate the standard required you will pass your driving test.

Description

If your tow large trailers, caravans, boats or horse boxes and do not have the correct entitlement on your licence you be risking a heavy fine, points on your licence and also you insurance will not be valid.
